A demonstration of how to join a Zoom class or meeting, and some of the Zoom features: raising your hand; muting & unmuting your mic & your video camera; using the chat box; and sharing your screen. Transcript When you receive a zoom meeting invitation in your email the email will include all of the information you need to join the meeting. Including: The time the meeting is scheduled for. The link you need to join the meeting. The password that you may need to provide in order to join the meeting. At the scheduled date and time, open the Zoom meeting link. Select the link, right-click, and click on open link Your browser will prompt you to open zoom.us Click on Open Link in the dialog box to open Zoom. At this point you may be asked to provide the password for the meeting from the email. But if not click on join with computer audio, to enable your microphone. Controls for Zoom meetings are along the bottom of the Zoom meeting window including the mute and unmute your microphone button and the button to start and stop your video. If you want to open the chat, click on chat, and a panel will open up to the right side of the zoom meeting. To put a chat in the window click at the bottom. Type in your message and hit Enter to post it to the group. If you click on participants you will see a list of all of the people who are attending the meeting. And if you are asked to raise your hand to ask a question click on the blue raise hand icon, and a small blue hand will appear next to your name. Once your question has been answered, click on the small blue hand icon again to lower your hand If you're asked to share your screen during a meeting or during a breakout session click on the green share screen button at the bottom of the zoom window if it's available. This will give you the option to share your entire desktop, use the Whiteboard, or share a particular application that is open on your computer. Click on the item you wish to share, and then in the bottom right-hand corner click on the blue share screen button. You are now sharing your screen. Once you're finished sharing your screen click on the red stop share button. And you now finished sharing your screen Once the meeting has finished, you can click on the red leave button, and then again on the red leave meeting button You have now concluded your meeting.
